PracNote Privacy Policy

kukuDev handles personal information in PracNote - Music Practice as described below. Practice entries and recordings are stored on your device. External services process information needed for purchase verification, usage analytics and error diagnostics.

1. Information stored on your device

Instruments, pieces and practice items, practice time, sections, tempo, notes, routines, goals, recordings and score images you import are stored on your device. The operator does not collect this content on its servers or view it. No account is required. When you export or share files, the policies of your chosen storage location or service apply.

2. Optional permissions

You can log practice time and notes without microphone permission. You can change permissions in your device settings. Backup and restore use files that you select yourself. The microphone does not restart automatically after the app process ends or the device restarts.

Score images are imported only when you select them using the device's camera app or photo picker. The app does not request camera permission or access to your entire photo library. A foreground service runs with a status notification during practice or recording. Scheduled practice reminders are registered again after the device restarts. Rest reminders use vibration, but do not vibrate during recording.

3. Usage analytics and error diagnostics

Google Analytics helps us understand app use and return visits and improve features. It processes app and operating system versions, device type, app installation identifiers, language, approximate region, screen views and feature use, onboarding steps, whether an entry was saved, practice duration ranges, entry count ranges, and purchase attempt and restoration results. Titles, note content, recordings, score images, search terms, file paths and purchase tokens are not included in usage analytics. The service estimates your region from connection information; the app does not use permission to access your precise location.

Usage analytics is on by default and can be turned off in Settings. Turning it off stops new usage analytics collection. We do not use advertising ID collection or ad personalization. Because installation identifiers are included, we do not describe this information as completely anonymous.

Error diagnostics is on by default and can be turned off in Settings. Firebase Crashlytics processes app and operating system versions, device type, installation identifiers, error information and diagnostic records to identify errors and improve app stability.

Practice titles, notes, recordings and purchase tokens are not included in error diagnostics. You can turn diagnostic reporting off in Settings to stop new diagnostic information from being sent. The app does not use an SDK that displays advertisements.

4. Purchase verification

To verify and restore Premium purchases, Google Play and the Firebase purchase verification service process Google Play purchase tokens, product information and purchase status. Google Play handles payment method information; the operator does not collect card numbers. Practice data and recordings are not included in purchase verification.

Verified purchase information is kept in secure storage on your device. Purchase status is checked again when you reopen the app or restore purchases. The operator's server does not store purchase tokens in a database.

5. Service providers and international transfers

Information needed to verify purchases is sent over the network when you purchase or restore Premium. Usage analytics and error diagnostics are sent when their respective settings are enabled. Firebase App Check is used to check app integrity.

Provider Information and purpose Processing location and retention Contact and rights requests
Google Play Payment and transaction information; purchase status verification and restoration Countries where Google operates its services. Retained for periods required by law and Google's policies Google Privacy Policy, Google Play Help
Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC App installation identifiers, device and app information, approximate region and feature use; analysis of usage and return visits Processed on Google's global infrastructure. User and event information is deleted according to the service's configured retention period Google Analytics privacy information, privacy contact below
Firebase, provided by Google LLC Purchase verification requests and app integrity information; error diagnostics Processed on global infrastructure. Deletion of diagnostic information begins after 90 days of retention Firebase privacy and security information, privacy contact below

Where separate consent is required for processing outside your country, we provide information about the data, countries, timing and method of transfer, retention period and how to refuse, and obtain consent. Reading this policy or continuing to use the app does not replace separate consent.

6. Retention and deletion

Practice information on your device is kept until you delete it or remove the app's data. Uninstalling the app or resetting your device can cause the loss of entries and recordings on that device. Backup, CSV and recording files that you export must be deleted separately.

Usage analytics user and event information follows the retention period configured in Google Analytics. Aggregated statistical reports and separately retained analysis data have separate retention and deletion rules. Turning off analytics or uninstalling the app does not immediately delete all information already sent.

Under Firebase's policies, deletion of diagnostic information from live and backup systems begins after 90 days of retention. Purchase verification information, service logs and support inquiries are kept only as long as needed for their purposes. Information that must be preserved by law is retained for the required period.

7. Your rights and choices

You can view, edit and delete practice information in the app and export it as a backup or CSV. You can turn off usage analytics and error diagnostic reporting separately in Settings and change device permissions. To request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or information about international transfers, use the privacy contact below. There is no account deletion process because the app has no account registration. You manage local entries and exported files that the operator does not hold.

8. Security measures

The operator uses only information needed for the stated purposes and manages access permissions and transmission security. Purchase verification uses encrypted connections and app integrity checks. You can use a device screen lock and keep exported backup files in a secure location.

9. Children, policy changes and contact

PracNote is intended for people aged 14 or older. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under 14. Material policy changes are announced at least 30 days before taking effect, and previous versions are retained. Changes that require separate consent are explained separately.
