PracNote Terms of Service
These terms set out the conditions for using PracNote - Music Practice, provided by kukuDev (the “operator”), and the rights and responsibilities of the operator and users. Please read these terms and the Privacy Policy before using the service.
1. About the service
PracNote is an app for logging instrument practice time, pieces and sections, tempo, notes and recordings. It provides a timer, metronome, recording and playback, routines and goals, practice statistics, and file backup and restore. Basic logging and tools work on your mobile device.
2. Application of these terms and age requirements
If you do not agree to these terms, you can choose not to use the service or stop using it. The app is intended for people aged 14 or older. Applicable law governs actions, such as purchases by minors, that require a legal guardian's consent. Processing that requires separate consent, such as error diagnostics, is explained separately from these terms.
3. Practice tools and optional permissions
You can log practice time and notes without microphone permission. Recording uses microphone permission. Notification permission is used for practice reminders and to show ongoing practice and recording status. You can change permissions in your device settings.
Practice and recording that you start may continue after you lock the screen or move to another screen. You can check their status and stop them from the notification. The microphone does not restart automatically after the app process ends or the device restarts.
4. Accounts and information stored on your device
PracNote does not offer account registration, login or practice entry synchronization through the operator's servers. Practice entries, notes, routines, goals and recordings are stored on your device. They may be lost if your device is lost or reset, or the app is uninstalled. Keep file backups of information you need. Restoring a purchase does not restore deleted entries or recordings.
Content you write or record belongs to you or its rightful owner. The operator does not own it, collect it on its servers or view it.
5. Free features
Practice items and entries, the timer, basic metronome, recording and playback, basic statistics, access to all entries, backup and restore, and CSV export are free. The free tier includes one routine and one active weekly goal at a time. Available file storage depends on your device's capacity.
6. PracNote Premium and pricing
Premium is a non-consumable, one-time purchase that provides multiple routines and goals, detailed statistics, section tempo trends and PDF practice reports. There are no recurring charges. The price in Korea is KRW 19,900, including tax. Prices in other regions are the local prices displayed by Google Play. Check the product, features and price shown before paying.
7. Purchase verification and restoration
Google Play handles payment, and the operator's purchase verification service checks purchase status. The operator does not directly collect card numbers or other payment method information. Pending payments, cancellations and verification errors are distinguished from completed purchases. Purchase verification and restoration require an internet connection.
You can verify your Premium entitlement by restoring purchases with the same Google Play account. Purchase restoration restores paid features; it is separate from backing up and restoring practice data. A previously verified Premium entitlement is not removed solely because of a temporary verification connection failure. Paid benefits may be removed when a purchase is confirmed invalid, for example after a refund or cancellation.
8. Withdrawal, refunds and purchases by minors
Payment cancellations and refunds follow the Google Play refund policy and process and applicable law. You can request help from Google Play or the contact below with information that identifies your purchase.
Premium's digital benefits are provided after purchase verification. Statutory withdrawal and refund rights are preserved. If a minor makes a purchase without legally required guardian consent, the minor or their legal guardian may request cancellation under applicable law.
Losing Premium does not delete existing entries, routines or goals. You can still view and edit them. The free tier limits apply to running routines and activating goals.
9. User responsibilities
Use the service only with devices and materials that you have the right to use. The following actions are prohibited:
- Recording or sharing without permission, or infringing another person's copyright, privacy or other rights.
- Circumventing purchase verification or security procedures, or sending abnormal requests to the server.
- Reverse engineering, modifying or distributing the app beyond what applicable law permits.
- Using the service for illegal purposes or in a way that interferes with its operation.
10. Third-party services
Google Play, Firebase, Google Analytics and file storage or sharing services that you select are also subject to their providers' terms and policies. Check the relevant provider's conditions. Use of a third-party service does not remove the operator's responsibilities under applicable law.
11. Personal information
The Privacy Policy explains practice information stored on your device, optional permissions, usage analytics, error diagnostics and purchase verification. Reading these terms or the policy does not constitute consent to processing that requires separate consent.
12. Service limitations and liability
Recording, reminders, purchase verification and other features may be interrupted or delayed because of your device, operating system, permissions, storage capacity, audio connections or network conditions. Check that important entries and recordings were saved and back up information you need. Premium does not remove these limitations.
Practice statistics and tempo information are based on entries you create. The app does not guarantee musical ability or learning outcomes.
The operator and users are responsible under applicable law for losses attributable to their respective actions. These terms do not limit liability for the operator's intent or gross negligence, or user rights that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Service changes, suspension and termination
The operator may change or suspend the service for maintenance, security, technical or business reasons. Changes that materially affect use are announced in advance through reasonable means, such as the app or a published page. If an urgent outage or security measure prevents advance notice, notice is provided afterward. Where paid benefits are affected, the operator takes measures required by applicable law and provides an opportunity to export necessary entries.
If a breach of these terms or a security risk is confirmed, use may be restricted to the extent necessary. You can stop using the service by backing up information you need and uninstalling the app. Uninstalling the app does not automatically refund a Google Play purchase.
14. Changes to these terms
Material changes to these terms, including the changes and their effective date, are announced at least 30 days in advance through the app, a published page or similar means. If you do not agree to the revised terms, you can stop using the service before they take effect. Existing rights and statutory consumer rights remain protected under applicable law.
15. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without excluding mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence. The operator and user first seek to resolve disputes through discussion. Jurisdiction for legal proceedings follows applicable law. Users in Korea may seek help from the Korea Consumer Agency or the Content Dispute Resolution Committee.
16. Intellectual property and other provisions
Rights to the app's software, design and logo belong to the operator or their respective rights holders. You may use the app as permitted by these terms and applicable law. Use alone does not transfer those rights to you. If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory law takes precedence where it conflicts with these terms.
